The brief for the surroundings of these barn conversions, in a holding of almost 8 acres, was to create an attractive and sustainable landscape setting while ensuring that the design respects and enhances the local landscape character as well as improving the biodiversity of the area.
Our proposals have achieved this by retaining the open south-facing aspect of the barns, restoring and extending an existing orchard, creating enclosure with native hedgerows and traditional brick walls, and incorporating a sustainable drainage system (SuDS) which will feed into proposed ponds and wetland areas. Planning permission has been received and construction is in progress.
